History

Lela is the daughter and the only child of Cyrus and Elaeh, a family of travelling merchants from the South. While travelling on a trade route, Lela and her family encountered a group of Brigands. The Brigands claimed that the spices and exotic incenses being traded were contraband. Lela’s father was arrested and found guilty - his execution took place the following night in front of the family. The Brigands tore Lela from Elaeh’s embrace and took her mother away. Lela can still today hear the screams in her sleep.

Lela and her mother were kept as slaves until a battle broke out between the Brigands and Orcs. They escaped and found shelter in a small mountain village of Brunon, filled with friendly, hospitable and laidback people. As time passed by, Elaeh started producing magnificent incenses and perfumes, allowing her to provide a good living for the family through trading these goods.

Lela would often travel with her step dad, who taught her archery and hunting skills. She was in her early 20s when she had already become a much deadlier shot than her stepdad. She’s also the second best tracker of the village, falling only slightly short of her teacher’s skills.

The legend of Lela is told that one evening she spotted a group of the village men, her father among them, walking down a path. She kept a watchful eye over them as she followed them further down the mountainside, to see where they were going - when they suddenly drew their bows. She panicked, but noticed they were taking up ambush positions. What she witnessed next ended up changing her life….
